About CeQur Simplicity
The CeQur Simplicity wearable insulin patch is designed for a single 4-day use only and cannot be reused due to an increased risk of infection, malfunctions, and/or incorrect insulin delivery. It’s not possible to refill an empty insulin reservoir in the patch.
Insulin is prescribed separately. Your patients will fill the patch with up to 200 units of rapid-acting insulin using a fill syringe that is provided with each patch.
The CeQur Simplicity wearable insulin patch holds a maximum of 200 units of rapid-acting insulin and requires a minimum fill of 100 units. Twenty units of insulin are required to prep and prime each patch, leaving 180 units of usable insulin. If more than 180 units of insulin are required, patients can replace the patch in less than four days.
CeQur Simplicity is for mealtime and bolus correction use with U-100 insulins: Humalog® or NovoLog®.
The patch is for people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who require mealtime insulin.
CeQur Simplicity is indicated for people with diabetes who require mealtime insulin. CeQur Simplicity has not been specifically studied in patients with Gestational Diabetes. However, Humalog and Novolog are approved for use in Gestational Diabetes.*
CeQur Simplicity doses rapid-acting insulin in 2-unit increments.
CeQur Simplicity is labeled for use in adults over the age of 21 who have been diagnosed with diabetes.
Patients can augment adhesion if needed by using medical grade adhesive bandages or tapes such as Hy-Tape® or Micropore™ Surgical Tape over the patch’s adhesion. Contact CeQur Cares™ Team at 1-888-552-3787 or info@cequr.com if you have any additional questions.
Getting Started
If the buttons are locked in the “squeezed in” position and no click is heard, this is an indication that the patch has run out of insulin or that the cannula is blocked.
The patch should not be pre-filled. It should remain in its unopened package until the patient is ready to fill it and wear it.
Patients must be trained by a healthcare provider before their first use. Patients can be trained in office or virtually by a CeQur Cares Nurse. Patients should not use CeQur Simplicity until they have been trained on its proper use. Most patients need less than 30 minutes of training and are fully comfortable using the patch after 1-3 applications. You and your patients may also find this Quick Start Training Video helpful.
CeQur Simplicity is covered as a pharmacy benefit by a majority of both Commercial and Medicare Part D plans. Patient co-pay and/or co-insurance will vary based on the individual patient’s benefit design.
If your patient is covered by commercial health insurance, the CeQur Simplicity Copay Savings Card can provide an affordable way for them to get the 4-day wearable insulin patch. With this card, you may pay less than $35 for a 30-day supply† and no more than $5 for an Inserter†. Learn more here: CeQur Copay Savings Card.

The patch should be rotated on a patient’s abdomen regularly to reduce the risk of infection and promote insulin absorption.
Safety and Care
The Inserter is reusable and should not be thrown away. The Inserter can be cleaned by wiping it with soapy water, then rinsing with clean water and allowing it to air dry.
The wearable insulin patch does not track insulin doses at this time.
To make the screening process go smoothly, patients should review the airline’s security requirements and carry a copy of a letter from their healthcare provider stating the need to carry insulin supplies.
Please contact CeQur Cares at 1-888-55-CeQur (1-888-552-3787) or cequrcare@cequr.com for assistance.
The introducer needle (red cap) and fill syringe needle should be placed in a sharps container and disposed of according to local regulations. The CeQur Simplicity patch itself contains no sharps and should be thrown away according to local environmental regulations for medical waste.
The patches should be stored in a cool, dry place from 50 to 77°F (10 to 25°C). Extreme heat or cold can cause patches to malfunction.
The Last Dose Lockout feature is designed to detect when the reservoir is empty and alerts the user by locking the buttons in the “squeezed in” position.
The CeQur Simplicity patch contains metal parts and should be removed prior to an imaging exam.
The patch was studied on the abdomen and is commonly applied on the abdomen but can be placed on the body anywhere your patient can ensure a subcutaneous insertion and can squeeze the buttons (e.g., abdomen, back of the arm, upper thigh).
